My Journey

As my journey started at the beginning of my junior year I had such high hopes and strong ambitions to create something that I could be truly proud of. The only problem was that I had no idea what I was getting into. Already starting off with a disadvantage, not taking the prior recommended course for this class was a very difficult decision to commit to this class. There had already been a lot of people who had dropped the class as it was a very hard class to actually be successful in. There is a lot of prior knowledge that the people had with Canva, Photography, and overall design education. It started off very harsh as I was thrown into a world that I didn't understand but as time went on I slowly started to change adn adapt to the class. Countless hours were spent on youtube just learning about design principles and editing to make sure that I could succeed in this class. I was hired to be the finance director which would also be another hard task to complete throughout the year. In this role I would have to find ways to develop wealth for the class and to make sure that we could have enough money to spend so that we could afford the things that we wanted. As the year went on it got easier and easier as I was finally understanding the different things that I had to find in order to make things visually appealing. There are a lot of different projects and assignments that I had completed through the year and It kept getting better and better. I also started to use them in my other classes and this improved my overall work and quality of my products. I was so driven to continue to grow and learn as a young entrepreneur. It was such a grind to be able to catch up for the year that I never got to learn more and this helped me out and drove me to success in this class. In the second semester is when it really took off. Me and my partner Noah wanted to create a clothing brand, we wanted it to be something that we would be proud of and we wanted to be different from the other brands. This had led to us buying the hoodies and selling them throughout the month and still going strong to this day. Our plan to release dope hoodies that had stylish designs to an affordable teen price that we would wear along with our friends. This was a much more complicated process that had truly taught me to be a businessman and it is definitely something that I wanted to do for the rest of my life. Seeing how much effort and work that I put in to see it grow from an idea to an actual product to a full blown business was my favorite process and thing that I have done in my high school career. This class has taught me that anything is possible and to follow your dreams as they can come through with hard work and dedication that I truly enjoy. I am very glad to have the opportunity to take this class and it has taught me more than any other class that I have ever taken and cannot wait to see what happens in the future.
